Yvonne Denise Booker, 52, was called home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, June 6, 2917. Born April 1, 1965  in Norfolk, Virginia, she was the daughter of Robert and Helen Battle, and a graduate of Indian River High School. She was a loving mother, grandmother, daughter, sister, aunt, and friend.

She loved family with her whole heart, and she also loved the Cowboys. But above all, she loved the word of God, and leaned on it until her dying days. Even through her own pain, she encouraged others never to give up faith. She made it easy to have no regrets, and made it her business to tell you how she felt everyday, so you never had to question her love. She will be forever missed.

She leaves to cherish her her loving memory, two daughters Lakendra White and Lakia White; three sons Dominique White, Demond White, Donte White; a daughter-in-law, Myisha White; nine grandchildren, five sisters, one brother, and a host of nieces and nephews.

A funeral service will be held 11:00 am Saturday at Pretlow and Sons Funeral Home, Chesapeake. Interment will follow at Roosevelt Memorial Park. Viewing will be Friday from 5pm until 7pm at the the funeral home.
