Yvonne DeLane Freeman-Chambers, 77, of Chesapeake, Virginia journeyed home to be with our Lord on July 27, 2016 at 10:55 am.

She was born in Raleigh, NC on February 26, 1939 to the late Edwin Freeman and Daisy Kelly-Freeman. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 30 years, Perry L. Chambers, 3 brothers (Edwin Jr., Bernard and Ronald Freeman), and 1 sister (Elizabeth Freeman-Terrell).

She is survived by 1 son (Mack Schyne), 2 daughters (Zena Dunmeyer and Duanna Johnson), 8 grandchildren (Mydrione, Jason, Joshua, Jenena, Willie Jr., Franchesca, Emerald, and Cheyanna), 3 great-grandchildren (Jakilah, Jayden and one on the way), 3 sisters (Ann Mickens, Carol Clemons and Duanna Christmas) and many cousins, nephews and nieces; all of whom she loved deeply and all of whom will miss her dearly.

The funeral will be held on Saturday, August 6, 2016 at Haywood Funeral Home located at 2415 South Wilmington St.,Raleigh, N.C. 27603. Visitation will begin at 12 noon and service will promptly follow at 12:30 pm. Viewing will be on Friday Aug. 5 from 3pm-7pm at Haywood Funeral Home.
